Welcome! I am the new MTSS coach at HHS. MTSS stands for Multi-Tiered System of Support. This means that I work with students to increase their academic success through a variety of interventions. I also work with staff to enrich their teaching practices with strategies to engage and support all students.
Any student is encouraged to use me as a resource. I can help answer questions, guide students to resources, and help them navigate challenges they might encounter at school.
NWEA
NWEA Growth Test Information
- NWEA MAP Growth Tests are online and adaptive, meaning the level of difficulty of the questions changes as the student answers correctly and incorrectly.
- Tests are usually administered in the fall, winter, and spring. Many students will take tests in both math and reading.
- Scores help students and teachers see growth over time.
- Scores are reported as RIT Scores.
- A RIT score is a function of how many questions are answered correctly and the difficulty of the questions asked.
- NWEA develops national norms based on the scores of thousands of students. A student's RIT score can be compared to the national average of students at different points in their educational journey.
- Your student's teacher can share the national norms with you in relationship to your student's score.
